LINE CLEARING UNDER FØRE’S MANAGEMENT
Føre clears power lines regularly to avoid power outages caused by vegetation. Apart from this, the grid company does not cut down trees, with the exception of trees that have fallen onto the line.

In order to secure the power supply, it is important to control the vegetation (trees, shrubs and hedges) along the power lines in both high and low voltage networks.

We want good cooperation and hope that line clearance will cause as little inconvenience as possible for the landowner.

The grid companies’ standard connection terms and standard grid rental agreements give the grid owner access to the properties for necessary maintenance of overhead lines.

All line clearance is carried out in accordance with regulations drawn up by the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB).

Trees that are considered dangerous to the power supply under normal weather conditions are felled, while trees that are considered harmless are left standing. Occasionally, trees are left standing while branches that could come into contact with the power lines and cause outages are cut off.

The landowner is the owner of the twigs and wood after line clearing. The twigs will be placed neatly in piles on the property and the wood will be placed in the line route so that the landowner can easily access it.

Føre AS currently has an agreement for line clearing with AK Skog AS.
