Report a power outage?

If the light is off at several neighbors, it is likely that there is a fault in the network outside your home. If the power has only gone to you, there may be a fault in your electrical system.

In the map of power outages , you can check if we have a planned shutdown in your area or have registered an error. If an error has been registered in your area, we work to locate the error and correct it. By clicking on the error in the interrupt overview, you see when it is expected that you will get the power back.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS POWERLESS
If one or more of your neighbors is also without electricity, it is either a fault in the network or a planned shutdown. If no planned stop or fault has been registered in your area in the interruption overview:

THE POWER HAS JUST GOED WITH ME
If you are without electricity, there is either a fault in your electrical system or a fault in the network outside your home.

  • Check that main fuses and earth leakage circuit breakers are intact.
  • Check that the intake fuses are intact. These are usually located in the attic or basement, depending on whether you have an overhead line or cable into the house.
  • If any of these have failed, it is likely that there is something wrong with your system. You must contact an electrician.
  • If everything is in order with your system, you can call our 24-hour error message telephone 970 37 295.
  • We point out that the customer is invoiced for installation costs if it turns out that the error was still in the customer's own facility.

THERE IS ONLY POWER IN PARTS OF THE HOUSE
If you experience that the lights are glowing or parts of the house are without power:

  • Check that the main fuses and intake fuses are intact.
  • If everything is in order with your system, you can call our 24-hour error message telephone 970 37 295.

THE EARTH ERROR SWITCH HAS BEEN TURNED OUT
Try switching on the earth leakage circuit breaker. If this does not work, there is a fault in your system. This is not Midt-Telemark Energi's work to remedy. For troubleshooting, try the following:

  • Remove / disconnect all course fuses
  • Check main fuses
  • Connect the earth-leakage circuit breaker
  • Connect one course fuse at a time
  • The earth-fault circuit breaker switches off when the faulty course fuse is switched on
  • Disconnect the course that causes the earth fault circuit breaker to fall and reconnect the earth fault circuit breaker
  • Further troubleshooting is now limited to one course. There may be a fault in a device associated with the course. Disconnect all appliances and enter the course. Try inserting one appliance at a time. When the earth-leakage circuit breaker falls, you have found the appliance that is faulty. You may want to contact an electrician.
